World Malternatives Market to Reach $6.7 Billion by 2012, According to New Report by Global Industry Analysts

The world malternatives market stands enthused by the growing base of image-conscious young consumers in the age group of 18 to 30 years. The market is strongly influenced by fashionable lifestyle trends, given the fact that the young and trendy, who are primarily consumers of the product, perceive sophistication as being the most important factor influencing purchasing patterns. Since malternatives make a fashion statement for the drinker at bars and clubs, continuous innovation in product packaging is expected to play an instrumental role in creating opportunities for growth. Sleekly designed, colored, shaped and embossed single-serve bottles are a rage in the marketplace. Also growing in popularity is glass packaging, which is considered to be synonymous with quality and style. Drinks packaged in glass bottles convey the impression of being a premium product, which is an important advantage since malternatives are marketed as premium beverages in the higher-end of the market where image is inseparable from the product.

"Move over Barney, The Boulder Buddies are coming to entertain and educate your 1 to 7 year olds, and its thirty-six against one."

As the day begins, Boulder Buddies movies, stuffed bean type creatures, prototypes, cases, CD's, and anything else you can think of are on shelves all over The Boulder Buddies office. Two years in the making, hundreds of hours invested, and lots of support from family and friends, The Boulder Buddies now are alive. The bank account has about a $150,000.00 hole in it, but we are now holding in our hands, a product line. A product line consisting of a 60 minute video or DVD, adorable plush characters, a music CD, puppet pillows, and a great website, www.boulderbuddies.com

Now, all we have to do is sell it and let people become attached to these lovable new toys for kids. The motto of our company is "We want to put the "G" back in "G" rated entertainment for kids. The Boulder Buddies were created by parents, for parents with children ages 1 to 7. We are an independent company from Minnesota. Here is a little bit of information about the Boulder Buddies. There are 36 total Boulder Buddies, all with their own look and personality. We have four characters featured in the first video. Punky Rock leads the Boulder Buddies with sunglasses and an attitude. But Punky Rock has a cool attitude, he gets his coolness from doing the right thing and listening to his mom and dad. Roost runs an imaginary ticket booth selling tickets to the TV audience, and Matey is blue and yellow and a really neat fellow and is a happy go lucky guy. Also, Braid is an adorable role model for little girls everywhere. Braid is the lovable newscaster of the BBNN (Boulder Buddies News Network). In the first video "Adventures in Learning, Fun with ABC's and 123's, the alphabet is blown away while doing a butterfly song video. The cast has to find the alphabet while taking a tour of Boulderville. Along the way they are learning the basic skills kids at this age need, shapes, colors, numbers, letters, and caring and sharing. With all original catchy kids songs, and great original story telling, The Boulder Buddies are going to bounce into the world by storm. Oh, I forgot to mention they have no arms or feet, quite a feat to animate but we have an incredible animator. The creators of The Boulder Buddies, Dave and Lori talk candidly to parents, businesses, and people in the industry."Getting a product like this into the market is a big undertaking. We own a small family operated advertising agency so we know how to begin at least. We have met with some major retail stores , got a story in the local paper (The Prior Lake American) , met with QVC home shopping, ran a sponsership ad on PBS everyday for six months in Minnesota, and more, but we are still trying to put that first big deal together. We even have a major Hollywood producer shopping this in Hollywood for a network television series. We are looking for chain stores, business sponsers, and firms looking to license new products. Or all of the above to order products from our company to feature in their stores. We need people to go to www.boulderbuddies.com and order our products. We do not have the million dollar ad budget yet. We need your e-mails to order Boulder Buddies products, or your phone calls to place orders from us. The Boulder Buddies offer youngsters, and parents something that is sadly lacking in so many shows today. Kids need to be kids again. It is not a matter of if people and businesses will buy, but rather when."

Dont allow your home to be a Wildland Fire Statistic!

"Community on evacuation alert as wildfire threatens;" "Forest fires and smoke force hundreds to leave their homes;" "Wildfire destroys homes and structures-these are the all-too-frequent headlines in Canada's Wildland-Urban Interface. They affect thousands of people; have a significant economic impact, and the potential for a major disaster is increasing.

As residential and vacation home building continues to expand into the Wild Urban Interface Areas, the chance of wild fires damaging or destroying buildings and property is increasing dramatically. So what can you do? Well a fire suppression agent, PYROCOOL® FEF, is now available that can be sprayed on your home and property via your garden sprinkler. During harsh fire conditions, the systems can simply be attached to your garden sprinkler, turned on and left, just set it and forget it!"

Driving BMW's Amazing Hydrogen 7 Series on Green Car Journal Online

Green Car Journal Online editors put the BMW Hydrogen 7 through its paces in Berlin. With a formidable 6.0-liter V-12 beneath the hood, the high style of BMW's popular 7 Series sedan, and the joy of zero emission motoring…what's not to like?

It's no easy thing to predict the future. Yet, that's just what automakers are tasked with doing as they plan their way to an evolving automotive market that promises to include cleaner vehicles and fuels. Hydrogen is clearly a front-runner as a future fuel because of all the advantages this sustainable energy source brings. This alternative fuel has widespread buy-in among auto manufacturers and has driven substantial development of hydrogen fuel cells and the vehicles that will run on them. But at least one major automaker, BMW, figures on going a different route.

Local Waterways Saved by Smart Sponge Technology after Grease Spill on Duval Street

A recent grease spill from a local restaurant is having officials praising a new preventative technology called the Smart Sponge® Plus, a filtration system installed in 11 stormwater drains on Duval Street, after it captured grease from polluting the environment. The Smart Sponge® Plus is part of the Key West stormwater management project aimed at blocking oil, bacteria and trash from entering the nearby offshore reef community and coastal waters.

Operations Management International (OMI) conducted the grease spill clean-up. OMI reported that a total of four gallons of grease was captured in the AbTech Industries' Smart Sponge® Plus filters located in the storm drain adjacent to the source of the grease spill on Duval Street. "The Duval Street stormwater system is heavily impacted by tourists and recreational activities that leave excessive trash and debris on our streets, sidewalks and storm drains," said Annalise Mannix, Environmental Programs Manager. "It was only a matter of time before an accident of this nature was bound to occur and impact our waterways. We are so grateful that the installation of the Smart Sponge pollutant-removing system was in place to proactively limit any pollutants and toxins from entering our near shore waters."

This month, the global strategies for equities and fixed income include a global fund manager survey by Merrill Lynch which states that global fund managers have a gloomy outlook for corporate earnings. The survey found that while most fund managers are confident that there will be no global recession, prospects for corporate profits are foundering. A net 38% of respondents expect corporate profits to deteriorate over the next 12 months and a net 46% believe it unlikely corporations will grow their profits by 10% or more over the same timeframe. Even so, investors believe equities are fairly-valued and that companies are underleveraged, the survey added.
