Getting tattooed used to be the exclusive domain for bikers, rock stars, military types, and other rough ones. Nowadays tattoos have gone mainstream. A study done last year by the Pew Research Center shows that 40 per cent of 26-to 40-year-olds have at least one tattoo. Perceived as a symbol of rebellion, a firm statement about ones personality it attracts many. At the same time traditional disadvantages are fading away. Removal is possible thanks to the latest laser technologies and new ink sorts. The hurdles left, the time it takes and the expected pain during the tattoo process, have also been lowered lately. Distraction from this focus on pain and time with video glasses that deliver a true audiovisual cinema experience, now opens the door of the tattoo shop also for less tough guys.

It was a quintessential Southern California morning alfresco on the patio as guests delighted themselves with a celebrated champagne brunch fare. "Great food, great people and a great new company -- what more could anyone ask for?" added Mr. Caryl. The Film and Music Company (FMC) went live from atop a white linen-draped table at I Cugini via a remote laptop computer. "We went live around-the-world and I didn't have to leave the table," said Michael Thelin, Producer at The Film and Music Company. Among the select guests was Dr. Marion (www.drmarion.com) whose company, Elder Health Resources of America, is an FMC client. Dr. Marion's recent national bus tour on raising awareness about aging and elder care issues in America is being co-produced by FMC as a documentary. "I boarded The Film and Music Company bus, so to speak, before it officially launched because I recognized they had what it takes to make it happen -- creativity and a team of experienced, dedicated professionals. And, I was right in my decision," said Dr. Marion.
Take an economy teetering on recession, high gas prices, and an escalating cost of living, and you've got a climate ripe for selling anything proven to save businesses and consumers money, especially if it's related to fuel. Enter the legions of fuel-economy prophets.
Smith-Winchester recently began an aggressive PR program for CerMet Lab, a nano-technology company that has a unique product proven to improve gas mileage by 5% to 10%, sometimes more. From a PR standpoint, however, it's a double-edge sword. With fuel-saving tips being collected, published, broadcast and blogged everywhere, editorial on the cost of driving is at an all-time high. But much of it is negative toward anything you can buy to help save fuel.

The Federal Reserve recently announced they'll be creating billions of dollars by buying back US Treasuries. Financial Advisor Dennis Tubbergen believes those with accumulated wealth may need to begin to look at dollar alternative investments.
Last week, the Federal Government announced they will pour up to $1.25 trillion into buying mortgage backed bonds issued by government backed entities like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
But where did the Federal Reserve find all of this money?
They didn't, Tubbergen explains. They're just printing it. The Fed's goal is to keep bond prices high and interest rates low in an effort to revive lending, so it has now committed to becoming the buyer for these securities.
